Roof Leak Repair in Staten Island, NY

Roof Leak Repair in Staten Island, NY

Roof leak repair is the process of tracing water entry to its actual source and sealing it, which is rarely the spot where the stain appears on your ceiling. Staten Island, NY Storm Damage Roof Repair does this work across Staten Island, NY, and the tracing is most of the job.

Water does not fall straight down. It enters at a failure point, runs along the underside of the decking, tracks down a rafter, and drops through the ceiling somewhere else entirely. A stain in the middle of a bedroom often traces back to flashing at a chimney two metres away. Patching directly above the stain is the classic mistake, and it produces a repair that fails at the next rainfall.

We work from the inside out. Attic first, following the moisture trail back up the framing to the entry point, then onto the roof to confirm and repair. Where access allows we run a hose test to verify the fix before packing up.

The usual culprits after a storm are lifted flashing, split pipe boots, failed sealant at penetrations, and nail pops that have backed out and opened a hole. None of those are visible from the ground.
